My child is not a 'unit'
Super-school, PMSA style
The PMSA has brushed off suggestions that they are creating a 'super-school' with campuses like South Brisbane, Toowong, Clayfield and Sunshine Coast. Yet, Clayfield College parents say their school has already been gutted, with all hiring coming from the Toowong Towers of the PMSA.
In 2014, Clayfield College had 97 staff and 863 students. In 2016, under the PMSA's guidance, this has fallen to 84 and 652 respectively. Over the same period, Somerville House under the guidance of top performing principal Florence Kearney, slightly increased the number of enrollments, as did BBC.
The chart and table to the left provide graphical representations of the 4 schools and their enrollment statistics of students.
Communication and units
Parents welcomed the latest round of communication in their inboxes, as it seeks to reinforce how out of touch this near 100 year old body truly is. The following statement says nothing, other than reinforce how your child is number 5,000 in the business unit order.
Here are some thoughts to consider;
"Communicating directly with parents" is great in the modern time when you can have an auto-responder attached to your email. Where is your public forum Chairman Adsett (also full-time Architect)?
Parents have a lot of questions for you, including how Mr Rick Hiley stole data, went to a Korean Bath House on paid school time to hatch immoral plans to set up his Principal and employer. Is that in the PMSA Code of Conduct which upholds Christian values?
Finally Mr Adsett, if you truly believe in great communication, transparency, and that my child is not a unit, then why have you added an extra layer between yourselves and concerned parents?
Media advisors are used like this for company reporting. I expect to see that at the bottom of RIO Tinto's communique to shareholders*... not from a governing body replying to concerned parents about the welfare of their children. Have you learned nothing from the Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse?
*please note, BeyondPMSA is sorry to use the example of a world class mining company in this example, as RIO has exemplary governance and reporting structures. The PMSA does not.
